Recently, two of my close friends found out that they finally have a referral for a baby they are adopting from Ethiopia! They have been through a lot and waited a long time to finally get this good news. They came to me about a t-shirt design. They wanted to have some t-shirts made as part of how they were going to tell their family the good news. They came up with the clever line “Five Million Minus One” and wanted to use this for the t-shirt. I love how this turned out, and think it is such a sweet way to tell their family!
Easter is coming up, and working for a church you can bet there’s a lot of work to be done in preparation! Mt. Bethel does every service under the sun for Holy Week, as well as other activities in the weeks leading up to Easter, and they need materials to promote it! We came up with this mailer idea – it’s a folded mailer, that when opened, is an info graphic that takes the person through all of the events leading up to the “big day” – Preparing for Easter. I also created some single cards that explain what each event is, leading up to Easter, going into detail and history about why we celebrate/observe it.
I had a fun little project recently at Mt. Bethel. As part of Holy Week this year, they are having a three day Revival, for spiritual awakening! They wanted the promotional materials for this to have a vintage, old school revival feel. Here’s the final poster I designed. I particularly had fun with this one because of its typographic elements – Oh, how I love type!
